The 19.5″ x 13.2″ New DoAll Horizontal Band Saw Model DCDS-340CNC-X is designed for cutting a wide range of metals on a production basis. It offers automatic operation, numerical control and features solid heavy-duty construction. This provides more rigidity and reduces vibration for higher cutting rates, exceptional accuracy, superior surface finish and increased blade life.

• Operator Control Console: Control Console extends out beyond the safety fence and can easily be positioned for operator comfort and safety insuring hands are away from the blade at band start.
• Siemens Touch Screen Panel: The touch screen workstation provides the operator with easy to access job programming along with constant monitoring of jobs while the machine is running in automatic. The work station also monitors and displays blade speed, head feed rate, and head position at all times. It automatically displays any machine errors for ease of any troubleshooting eliminating any long periods of downtime.
• Saw Head Design: The saw head is mounted on linear rails which are mounted to two robust columns at a 4 degree cant. The 4 point head mounting system to the columns increases stability of the saw head allowing for increased blade life.
• Direct Driven Band Drive: Drive is comprised of an electric VFD controlled motor transferring power thru a gear reduction unit directly to the drive wheel eliminating belt slippage giving positive torque to the saw blade.
• Servo Driven Indexer: The indexer is comprised of a servo driven ballscrew system utilizing a rotary encoder for positioning which is known for its accuracy. Its 39″ single stroke, which can be multiplied, decreases cycle time of the machine allowing for increased production.
• Floating Index Vise Table: The index vise base is mounted on a linear rail system that is of a floating design allowing for the vise to move crooked stock without the fear of material slippage increasing accuracy and repeatability of cut product.
• Saw Head Turntable: The robust saw head turntable is driven into position by a servo driven motor and encoder assembly and hydraulically locked in place. It can either be programmed to cycle thru the control or positioned manually or by use of the RTO function. Either way once in position the head will be locked in place preventing the chance of the head drifting out of position.
• Encoders for Head Positioning: Rotary encoders attached to electric servo motors are used for measuring head height and angular positioning. These encoders are well known in the industry for their longevity and reliability.
• Full Stroke Hydraulic Vises and Nesting Cylinders: Full stroke hydraulic cylinders on the vises insure maximum part clamping eliminating the possibility of material movement. The front vise moves back automatically when cutting a negative angle to prevent a collision with the saw head. This also insures that the material will be clamped as close to the cut as possible preventing material slippage.
• Texting Fixtures: Vertical hold down clamp assemblies allow the operator to perform multiple piece cutting increasing productivity.
• Multiple Angle Control: The control allows for multiple angles to be cut on the front edge of the material which is known as a bullnose cut. This is a very effective time saving process when cutting out stair treads.
• Multiple Machine Cycles: The machine can be operated in either semi-automatic or automatic mode. In semi-automatic mode the material is placed manually by the operator or by use of the GTO function and clamped in place. The head is placed to the desired angle thru the RTO or rotate function and locked in place. The saw band is started and the cut is completed. In the automatic mode the operator programs the pieces to be cut in one of the 99 jobs, sets the material, and starts the cycle. The machine automatically cycles thru the parts as programmed making it a “hands free” operation.
• Hydraulic Blade Tension: Eliminates possible error of over/under tightening the band for maximum cutting rates and band life.
• Flood Coolant System: Supplies coolant to the blade evenly before and after the cut creating straighter cuts and allowing longer blade life due to coolant being supplied at the tooth tip.
• Modified Feed System: Metered cutting feed rates are controlled by a ballscrew feed system allowing for very precise cuts. Entered rates are monitored and adjusted by the control to ensure straight and accurate cuts by the use of 2 programmable operator inputs ARP and RZP. ARP is an operator setting which allows the machine to regulate the feed rate depending on the resistance of the material or the dulling of the saw blade decreasing the chance of out of square cuts. RZP-Zone cutting system allows for the programming of the job to cut material up to 5 unique cutting zones in one work piece. Zone cutting allows the operator to account for variations in material composition and/or area being cut within the same work piece/part during the operation.
• Band Wheels: Cast steel band wheels insure proper band tracking and long life.
• Automatic Material Indexer Retraction: Energizing the CMU button in automatic cycle allows the indexer to retract material away from the blade. Reducing damage to the saw blade teeth.
• Warranty: One year parts and service subject to terms and conditions. Optional ten year warranty is available.
