Wafum Heavy Duty Engine Lathes offers a wide range of top quality European built lathes including manual lathes, and our new Servo-Conventional (Servo-Manuals) lathes offering 22”, 25” or 28” swing over bed x 40″-157″ between centers with 4.1″ or 5.5″spindle bore. Oil Country versions available with rear spindle nose for “dual” chucking.
Our newest TUR-SC combines some of the best features from our Manual (TUR-S) and Manual Plus CNC (TUR-MN) lathes to offer you superior European craftsmanship, TRI-V bedways, 20 HP main motor, precision spindle bearings, many UL electrical components and 4-way rapids with 4-way joy stick selection. Additional features of our new Servo Conventional lathes include variable spindle speeds, built-in DRO, constant surface speed, 2-range ZF gearbox, 10.4″ color flat screen, integrated pocket calculator, simple 1 step cycles and MDI through a manual machinist friendly control station. 1 step functions and 1 step simple cycles offer a variety of machining operations including turning, boring, threading, etc. Extensive threading options: operations including infeed linear or degressive, thread run-out, multiple thread starts, thread repair, taper threads, inch or metric with the macro-threading option. The TUR-SC series are possibly the best quality and most flexible manual type lathes on the marketplace today.
